Unsung Hero Award:

One of my favourite categories because it features the sort of individuals that every club needs but not always recognises! And this year’s recipients are proof of how much work they do on a voluntary basis!

For over 25 years, Jenny Lewis has been the driving force behind the success of Clarbeston Road AFC, serving as treasurer since 2001. Club of the Year -Milford Haven Ladies Hockey

Carew Sports Club

Chaos Netball Club

Club of the Year Award:

Arguably one of the most difficult sections because there are so many clubs in our county punching well above their weight, especially ‘up the line’, and all three finalists have certainly done that.
Special congratulations to Milford Haven Hockey Club in a season of special commemoration - and I know that Dianne and Charlotte Davies will lead the way in their celebrations at winning this award from two other special candidates!

Milford Haven Hockey Club - Winners

Milford Haven Hockey Club celebrated its 50th year with outstanding success and growth in 2024/25. Both senior womens teams earned double promotions: the first team to Premier League 2 and the second team to Division 4 in their debut season. Junior teams from U8 to U14 competed regularly in regional tournaments and South Wales Cups, with U12 and U14 squads finishing a credible sixth place. With 36 senior members, 20 under 18, and 52 juniors, senior players volunteer to coach the next generation. Milford Haven combines elite performance, development, and a strong community focus, promoting hockey for women and girls across the region.

Carew Sports Club – Runners-Up

Carew Sports Club has been nominated for its exceptional achievements and community impact. In 2025, the club secured four senior cricket trophies—the Pembrokeshire Division 1 Cup, Duggie Morris Cup, Alec Colley Cup, and Ken Morris Cup—while the under-17s won the Ormond Plate. Its thriving junior cricket program saw the under-11s reach the Pembrokeshire Softball Final, and the womens team continues to develop strongly. Beyond cricket, the club supports two successful football teams and a growing junior section. Serving as a vibrant hub for the village, Carew Club combines sporting success with community spirit.

Chaos Netball Club – Runners-Up

In the 2024–25 season, Chaos dominated across age groups: Under 12s and Under 14s won both Pembrokeshire league and tournament titles, Under 19s claimed their league, and the Under 16s and Adults’ teams finished second. The club had over 10 players selected for Regional Academies and West Wales Squads, with two junior teams qualifying for the National Championships—the only club in Pembrokeshire to do so.  2 adults also competed in the National Masters Championships. The club has a ‘Back to Netball’ social group and the county’s only umpire training at ‘B’ level. With a strong focus on community and charity, Chaos combines excellence, development, and inclusivity.
